Home-services contractors

Every finished job asked for a review.

When a job is marked complete, the customer gets a thank-you text with your review link, and any review or reply that needs a personal answer goes to the owner first.

What you get

  • Every job asked

A thank-you text with your Google review link after every completed job.

  • One polite reminder

Skipped for customers who already left a review.

  • Replies drafted for you

A reply in your voice for every new Google review, the day it lands.

  • You answer the unhappy ones

Replies below your rating wait for your approval.

  • Problems reach you first

A customer who raises an issue goes to the owner the same day.

  • Tested before launch

We run it on real past jobs and walk your team through it.

How it runs

One real example, start to finish.

  • Runs on its own
  • A person on your team decides
  1. Job marked done

Your tech finishes the repair and closes the job.

  2. Review requested

A few hours later, Mike gets a thank-you text with your review link.

  3. A callback, not a review

A person decidesA reply about a problem goes straight to the owner by phone.

  4. Good reviews answered

A five-star review gets a reply in your voice the same day.

  5. Low ratings held

A person decidesA low rating waits for the owner to approve the reply.

What changes for your team

Nobody in the office has to remember to send the review link at the end of a long day, and techs stop being asked to "mention reviews" on the way out.

Every customer is asked, every time, in the same words. More asks means more reviews, and more reviews means more calls from the next homeowner searching for a plumber.

The owner stops finding a bad review a week after it went up. They see it the day it lands, with a reply already drafted, and the decision they make is the one only the owner should make: what to say in public, and whether to pick up the phone. A customer who is unhappy reaches the owner before they reach Google.

You stay in charge.

The routine runs on its own. At these moments it stops, asks a person, and waits for the answer.

  • A new Google review comes in below the rating you set.

Text to the owner with the review and a draft reply; the owner replies yes, sends an edit, or says they will call

  • A customer answers the review request with a complaint instead of a review.

Phone call to the owner, with the customer's message in a follow-up text

You set the rules, and can change them any time

  • The delay after a job closes, the reminder timing, and the request wording.
  • Which job types get a request at all, such as excluding warranty visits or commercial accounts, applied the same way to every customer of that type.
  • The rating at or above which replies post without approval.
  • The voice of drafted replies, from past replies you liked.
  • Who gets complaint alerts, and whether by call, text, or both.
  • Whether requests go out from your own number or through Birdeye.

Your part is small.

  • Birdeye

The details

Included

  • Every completed job picked up from ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or your paid invoices in QuickBooks Online.

  • One reminder after the number of days you set, skipped when that customer has already left a review.
  • A reply drafted in your voice for every new Google review, the day it lands.
  • Replies to reviews at or above the rating you choose posted for you, and every reply below it held for the owner's approval.
  • Customer replies to the request that raise a problem sent to the owner the same day.
  • Requests sent through Birdeye instead, if you already use it.

Frequently asked questions

Why not send the review link only to customers who were happy?

Google's review policy does not allow businesses to selectively ask for positive reviews. Everyone gets the same request. What you control is how fast you hear about a problem, and that the reply to it comes from you.

Will customers who already left a review get a reminder?

No. New reviews are matched to customers by name, so someone who already reviewed you is skipped. Each customer gets at most one reminder either way.

We already use Birdeye for reviews.

Good. Requests can go out through Birdeye, so your reviews stay in one place and your team keeps the dashboard it knows.
